China and the Economy
There is a bizarre phenomenon going on now with regard to China, the U.S. economy and the U.S. media.
Going back several years, Chinese leaders have made no secret of the fact that they are aware of their growing influence in the world economy. Their posture has been what most people would call polite and reserved.
As evidence of U.S. economic problems were getting media attention, they suggested publicly a one world currency. Hillary Clinton responded very dismissively.
Now, as western economies seem to be going further downhill, China is taking a more aggressive stance, for example by hoarding commodities.
